Post subject: Reporting on Encrypted Data

Hi all,

We use BO XI 3.0, and we were previously reporting on data from a SQL Server 2000 database. That database is being upgraded to SQL Server 2008 and the encryption scheme is changing to the SQL Server encryption that is integrated into that platform (using certification and keys). We're wondering how we can have the least impact on the reports that need to report on these encrypted fields, but there doesn't appear to be any easy option in Crystal or anywhere else to accommodate this. I'm sure someone out there has dealt with reporting on a SQL Server 2008 encrypted field before, and we'd appreciate any insight you can provide.

Thanks!!
