I “upgraded” my laptop running Crystal Xcelsius Pro 4.5 from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate. Also the laptop was upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 Ultimate. After the upgrades, Xcelsius reported “Crystal Xcelsius has stopped working… A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
I contacted technical support about the issue and was advised that they thought that Vista should be repaired or reinstalled.
Instead, I purchased a new laptop with a fresh installation of Vista Business and Office 2007 Ultimate. When starting Xcelsius I got the same error message as on the original computer. I started the program under the Run as Administrator option. Also, I installed the latest (May 2007) Xcelsius hot-fix.
