I'd suggest not. Data Integrator is an Extraction, Transformation and Load program. Data Mining, well that is a different kettle of fish. Now, BusinessObjects used to have a Data Miner product. It isn't a distinct product anymore, but may have become integrated with something like Application Foundation.

No, you cannot use Data Integrator for data mining. Like Nick tried to say, DI is an ETL tool (Extract, Transform, Load). icon_wink.gif

If you are looking for a real data mining tool, and you care about association rules and decision trees, you will need to shop around outside of Business Objects. The old Business Objects Data Miner and it's mantra of "data mining for the masses" caught on as well as bell-bottom pants in the 80s.

If you want to stick with something inside the Business Objects offerings, you may find a good alternative in Set Analyzer, delivered with Application Foundation. It doesn't do decision trees or any true data mining, but it can give you some mining-like analysis and discovery of relationships.
