Does SAC support non-cloud solution? i.e. On-premises
For instance, I don't want to put several sensitive information on cloud.

You can access data from SAC, which will remain on-premise and NOT be uploaded into the cloud.

Live data in SAC has a pretty limited use case and spread of datasources (it does work ok with Universes but ALL the work has to be done at source). It`s a bit of a shame really. Although they are working on it! Things like not being able to use smart insights, certain types of calculations etc.

Incidentally, didn`t want to spam but I recently started a SAC user group on linkedin. It`s pretty low key at the moment, but you`ve got to start somewhere.

Where can we read more or see SAC connected to on-prem data that is not a part of the SAP landscape (e.g., an Oracle data warehouse, etc.).

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Have a research about the SAP Cloud Connector. This will let you consume on-prem datasources (mostly via JDBC). I have SQL Server connected this way.

It`s a relatively simple install to get ti working, there`s some workflows on the SAP site.
