Post subject: Tomcat socket write errors

Win2k server with Tomcat 3.2.1 and Apps Foundation 3.0.2 and IIS 5.0. AF seems to be working, but in the DOS window where Tomcat is running, I constantly see errors such as:

" Ctx(/apps ): IOException in: R( /apps + /<any sub directory>/<any file name.ext> + null) socket write error (code=10053) "

In the error, the <file names> may have many extensions .gif, .htm, .jsp etc. The can be any under the apps virtual directory. Any suggestions?

Are you really using IIS as the Web Server? As of 3.0.2 you had to use Tomcat as the WebServer.

Could this be related?

Yes. In the Readme and PAR files that come with the software it specifies that you should use Tomcat for both the Web and App servers. However, it refers to the use of the Webi SDK as the reason that the IIS/Tomcat combination is not supported. In the AF pdf that comes with AF 3.0.2, it makes absolutely no reference to the Tomcat/Tomcat installation. It goes into great detail about how to setup IIS with Tomcat using the isapi_redirector.dll. I first attempted to install AF with only Tomcat and could not get it to work.
