Post subject: You interrupted a query. Response from the Server (DA0013)

Hi All,

I have an issue with one Desk I Report. One of my customer is getting the below error when she is trying to refresh the report.
You interrupted a query. Response from the Server (DA0013)

when i ran the SQL in oracle it took 3 minutes. and the report is refreshing with out any error in other machines. the report is throwing this error only for single user.

Please suggest how to proceed to resolve the issue.

I am using XI R3

Thank you,
Samatha

Hello Samatha,

DA0013 error usually comes up when the execution time limit is reached.
You can try to increase the limit in Designer in the Universe Paramters window. Go to Controls tab and increase the value for 'Limit execution time to:' from whatever it is to a higher value.

However, consider tuning the SQL to improve query performance as well.

Hope this helps!

If this is happening to only one your users and no one else is having an issue, you may look to see which version of IE they use. I have run into this when IE 7 or higher is installed on the PC.

Just a thought,

Why would IE have an effect on deski report?

What user did you run the code as? Make sure you run the code as the user being used when your colleague runs the query in BOB.

Hi All,

Thank you for the response.

@Mitra : thank you for the response. User is able to refresh the report in his colleagues machine using his log in details. and not able to do the same in his own machine.

When i ran the same SQL query in users machine it took 3 mins of time.

Please suggest how to proceed. and what are the parameters i have to check to resolve this issue.

Could do if using HTTP connection, i.e. 3 tier ZABO.

How are you connecting, 2 teir or 3 tier?

It is good that he can run the query from another PC with his own log in, which suggests that there is no limitation on his log in. Therefore, you have to look and see what is different about his PC.

Like Mak 1 suggested, how is he connecting from his PC? Again, check which version of IE he is using on his PC.

From what I understand (and I might be wrong on this), IE 7 has a time limit built into it that cuts connection to web servers. Besides, I have seen this error with users that have IE7 or higher and using DeskI. Once the time limit for IE is increased the problem seems to go away.

Sorry, I am not an IE or a network person and this goes way beyond my expertise. I am just relaying what I have experienced and what I have been told by the network guys.

Problem is with the DeskI report. As per my understanding, version of IE has no effect in running DeskI report.
Please correct me if i am wrong.

That was my initial thought too samantha, but that has already been covered in the post by Mak.
