If you log into SAP Support Portal at service.sap.com/support and go the My Download section, you'll see CRYSTAL REPORTS 2011 -> WINDOWS. You need that S000#### login from SAP.

That's the CRYSTAL REPORTS 2011 desktop application. It's been out for a month or so...

I am looking for the CRYSTAL REPORTS SERVER 2011 application - which is a scaled-down version of EDGE (eg. no WebI).

Ahh sorry, I get confused with all the different product names. It looks like it's available for those customers who have licenses for it... http://bit.ly/pSHUxt. We only have a license for the desktop version.

I don't know why you're confused. The constantly changing product names are no more confusing than, say, the US tax code. crazy.gif lol.gif

Well I guess I should have been more prepared for dealing with SAP, since I used to be an accountant.

Hi, please do not make use of shortened URLs here on BOB. We do not have a 140 character limit on posts. icon_wink.gif Many folks prefer to know where they're going before they click a link.

It seems that in 4.0 there is no way to move a report with instances from one 4.0 environment to another. The Upgrade Management Tool only brings in content from an older environment, and LCM does not work with instances.
My major concern is what happens if a report (with instances) is accidentally deleted?
In 3.1 we could get the backup of the FileStore and
Repository and then restore to separate server, then use import wizard
to restore the report and instances. Now I don't think we have a way to recover a report with instances.
We can only restore the complete environment, which most likely is not an option since you'd lose anything new since when the backup was taken.

Has anyone heard if encryption options for Excel or PDF outputs will be an available in V4 BOE for WebIntelligence reports going through the scheduler?

We have users that would be most interested in this type of functionality being available inside the BOE scheduler.

I did a search here but this was all I could find (as this tread indicates); http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=141793&highlight=encrypt

Update- I asked several of the guru's at the conference this week - looks like this functionality has not been announced or is anticipated for release 4. cryin.gif

I'm looking at third party tools like APOS which look promising.

Hi Joe,

I have exactly the same requirement. Recenly, I tried a method using send to a secure mail address.
This didn't work either icon_sad.gif, I wrote about it here:-

Cheers,

Mark.

Now I really think your getting ahead of yourself a little bit. Wouldn't it just be nice to have a scheduler that is 100% reliable in any version.
