Post subject: Formatting Crosstabs to have the block order different

Good day,

I am having difficulty in getting the crosstab with two or more measures to be in the format requested.

What we start with is:

________Category1_________Category2________
Group1__Measure1_Measure2_Measure1_Measure2
Group2__Measure1_Measure2_Measure1_Measure2
Group3__Measure1_Measure2_Measure1_Measure2

What we are after is:

________Category1_Category2_Category1_Category2_
Group1__Measure1__Measure1_Measure2_Measure2
Group2__Measure1__Measure1_Measure2_Measure2
Group3__Measure1__Measure1_Measure2_Measure2

Does anyone know how this can be done in the same cross tab.

I know that we could have different tables but that would mean that the groups may not allign as they currently are in an outer join.

That format wont be possible in a crosstab block
You will have to create separate columns in order to keep those measures side-by-side

.

That was an interview question that I have faced long time ago. The interviewer was expecting me to crack this, and I believe he had an answer for the same. As that was an interview, I could not discuss more on this further. Thanks Haider.
