LOL! That's one of those write-it-to-get-it-out-of-your-system-and-then-throw-it-in-the-trash letters. icon_biggrin.gif

Or maybe not..........

(Anyone else kinda surprised that someone high up in SAP/BusObj leadership hasn't taken the time to come on here and make ANY kind of comment? Back when I owned a business I fell on my sword in front of my customers a couple of times when my employees messed up.)

We have yet to receive our letter either. Luckly we seldom call for support. I am waiting a few more days to start calling.
What I found interesting is the invoice that we received for our yearly maintenance. It is impossible to figure out what we are even paying for. Some of the products that are on the invoice are:
ACE Mover ID NCPALink Limited Service Provider V7 Windows CPU License English
ACE Mover ID NCPALink Limited Service Provider V7 Windows CPU Maintenance English

WHAT?

I emailed the address on the invoice for help and quickly got a reply asking for my questions and the comment
but will try to get back to you later today or by tomorrow definitely on Thursday but I have not heard anything since.

Will SAP/BO be refunding all of us fully paid up customers who have had no support since their "migration" to the new SAP support site?

We pay a shed load for support, so surely we can claim it back when support is non existent?

The SAP/Business Objects Support Blunder

Scott Bajtos, EVP of Customer Assurance has apparently added a comment to Cindi's blog post at the above link. Interestingly enough, she gets an official response. icon_smile.gif

Scott Bajtos is in charge of support for the whole of Business Objects. He'd be a great person to forward your comments and concerns to as I am sure he played a large part in giving this migration the go ahead. icon_twisted.gif

Then again, it sounds like SAP kinda likes putting it to their customers.

Hi there,

Since so many people are having problems accessing support, I would suggest you try posting your questions in the SAP forums which can be found here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forums

There are a large number of BO Support employees who are quite active on the forums, so if you can't get a hold of support through normal channels, you can try those forums to see if you can get help that way.

Disclaimer: I am a BO support employee.

Also, I don't want to downplay the excellent BOB forums as they are very well organized and run, I just want to bring some extra options to peoples attention.

Is it me or are the comments gone from Cindi's blog?

Yes, I see the same - or rather don't. They were there four hours ago. They included responses from Scott Bajtos and Neil Raden.

Yea, had seen them too and was wondering what other comments had been added.

Curious absence.

It is intelligententerprise's fault - their page hides the comments intermittently. It is very annoying. Sometimes if you try different links in to a page they load fine. Other times they don't.

Thought this was topical

SAP To Migrate Customers To More Expensive Support Service

Quote:
The software company plans to move customers from their current agreements to the new service's pricing model of 22% of license fees by 2012.

Post subject: Re: BO tech support page not working / new SAP Support Site

After struggling with the SAP support site again, time for another bit of venting:

All of you who are waiting for your SAP "S" number are in for an unpleasant surprise once you get it.

Even simple things like searching for all of my company's previously-created cases takes a while to find. And when I finally found it... SAP only converted over a dozen of the cases. We have years' worth of cases which were not converted over.

SAP's system lists all of our Systems/Installations as having no maintenance contract. That's a little ominous, I hope we won't be getting cut off at some point. We're a paid-up Elite support customer!

I also got a call-back from a BO/SAP support rep on an open case, who asked if I saw his "message" or note or whatever. Nope, no notification via email that he posted something new. Nothing in my SAP support "Inbox". He also said that customers can't reach their support team by phone, for some reason.
