Post subject: How to change default properties of webi reports?

Hi All,

We are using Business Objects XI R2 and deployed in .net environment.

Now my question is, is there anyway where i can change the default properties of blocks/tables, free cells (font size, font type, etc.) of web intelligence documents?

Thanks in advance.......

Did you not notice the left pane in the WebI Edit report window having properties tab which has everything you are looking for

If you mean set up a "template" out of the box, you can't.

What I normally do is set up an empty "template" with look and feel, graphs, tables, alerts, fonts e.t.c. and use copies of that to build my reports.

This topic is old, but it worked for 6.5. Maybe it will help or provide some direction for XI too.

You can change default setting for report in this file defaultConfig.xml which place in this location
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\webiApplet\AppletConfig

Hi Everyone,

I modified defaultconfig.xml and it's working for me now icon_biggrin.gif .

Thanks for all your inputs.

Now I want a webi report which can support a huge canvas. And I already changed orientation to Landscape in defaultconfig.xml but still I want to change the format name/page size (ex A4, A3,etc.) to something which can handle a huge canvas.

I have a requirement to create a webi report and in this report I have to add more than 100 objects. So I need a wide canvas which can handle this.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I was able to successfully change the default page size for Webi Tomcat by modifying C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\webiApplet\AppletConfig\defaultconfig.xml and restarting Tomcat. But am having no luck changing the .NET version by modifying the file C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise115\webiApplet\AppletConfig\defaultconfig.xml. I've restarted IIS but the Java Control Panel still says size A4 when I create new documents. What obvious step am I missing? Thanks! nopity.gif

Still no luck with .NET. The good news is similar modifications can be made with Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.0. The Web Intelligence defaultconfig.xml file is located at C:\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\AnalyticalReporting\webiApplet\AppletConfig
