Actually, BO Data Integrator is getting renamed as "BO Data Services XI 3.0":

Correct me if I am wrong.. appears like two products have been integrated to form a single product.

BO Data quality + BO Data Integrator = BO Data Services.

Fully integrated technically, yes, although I am guessing the data quality functionality will still be an optional, add-on license.

Actually, from a license perspective there are three areas, so the object library -> Transforms tab will have a tree with three root nodes:

The Platform which allows very simple transformations only (Row Gen and those kinds of).
Then there are the DQ transforms.
And the missing DI transforms (Table Comparision, History Preserving, etc).

What you had with Firstlogic before is the ability to read data, load data and obviously run DQ transforms. So this translates into Platform + DQ in the new release.
Platform + DI is what you have with DI today, all the fency transform.

And obviously you can purchase all together DI + DQ + Platform.

I am excited about this new offering which has a single interface for Data integration, data profiling, data cleansing, etc.

Is there any literature available on it yet?

I think this is one area where BOBJ has an edge over a few other vendors. Having near-to-complete data integration suite / capabilities.

Pls let me know your opinion.
