Post subject: BI 4.1 LaunchPad

I just installed BI 4.1 and set up SAP authentication. Now I want to try it out.
However, when I go to log into the launchpad there is not a dropdown box where I can change the authentication from Enterprise to SAP. In 3.1 there was a dropdown box where I could change the authentication type. So, how do I change to SAP authentication?

Thanks for any help,
Nick

AFAIK, by default you will only have Enterprise authentication, you need to setup SAP authentication in the CMC.

That is the funny thing. I set that all the SAP authentication stuff up and one person in my office gets a log on screen that uses SAP authentication and it works fine. I, however, get a screen that uses Enterprise authentication and it works fine. I just can't seem to figure out how switch from one to the other.

Might be browser cache thing if someone else can see the authenticaton options while logging in. If not check if you have set any custom properties on your web app server - ..\webapps\BOE\WEB-INF\config\custom
file name: BIlaunchpad.properties
authentication.visible=true

No one else can see the options. Another person is just getting defaulted to SAP authentication. There is no drop down for them either. The only reason I know it is SAP authentication is that there are boxes for system and client on the log on page.

Thank you for the idea for the custom file name and attribute. It doesn't seem to be working for me so far but I will keep on playing with it.
