Post subject: Exporting Data with Pipe Delimiter

I need to export data from several tables in a B/O Deski report (XI2) as a text file with pipe delimiter. In order to obtain the correct file format, I am creating a string, which is apparently working thus far. The issue is adding objects or variables that are measures. In using the FormatNumber function, a COMPUTATION error message is displayed. I've tried several options based on what was found in the forum or through searches to no avail. Any help will be appreciated.

Sample string is below:

=<Pool Number>&"|"&<v_01>&"|"&"|"&FormatDate(<Next Pay Adjustment Date> ,"m/d/yyyy")&"|"&<Issuance Balance>&"|"

m = minute, M = month

dd/MM/yyyy

Thanks, Mark, but the problem is not with the date format....it's when I add an object or variable that is a measure -- for instance we have an object called Loan Count. If I add it to the end of the string, the COMPUTATION error appears.

=<Pool Number>&"|"&<v_01>&"|"&"|"&FormatDate(<Next Pay Adjustment Date> ,"m/d/yyyy")&"|"&<Issuance Balance>&"|"&<Loan Count>

OK.

Add the variables/objects that will be in your string to the block and hide them via the functionality in format table -> pivot
