Sometimes we get com.businessobjects.wp.om.omreportelementcontainer error for webi report. Saw a KB in SAP for same and it says check for cluster registry entry. But it is good in all my server. The only solution is recycle tomcat. Any body opened a case with SAP for same issue?

Alex

Started happening recently for me too. Dissatisfied with the "just restart Tomcat" (as the problem continued to happen almost every day), I amplified the restart to include a purge of the Tomcat cache.

New workflow:
1. Stop Tomcat
2. Delete everything in this directory: <Prog Files>\Business Objects\Tomcat55\work\Catalina\localhost
3. Start Tomcat

So far so good. Please confirm if you can. icon_confused.gif

I still get this issue, but it's random. Seems when it does happen, it's almost if not always after my weekly scheduled reboot, but not after every weekly reboot. It has happened less frequently after I adjusted the reboot times to have the Tomcat boxes (4 of them behind an F5) go AFTER the SIA servers. If you reboot Tomcat and then the SIA's this seems to happen more often....at least for my environment.

I also agree with deleting the Tomcat cache as part of the process to reduce this error....although I've been too lazy to automate that part. icon_redface.gif

Assuming Tomcat 5.5.x, uncomment the entry in ${tomcat.home}/conf/context.xml. This will instruct Tomcat not to serialize sessions which seems to be the magic option in my case.

Dude! I had that exact scenario on the cat. Then five years later after the cat died, the same thing happened and I have a dog now! banghead.gif

I am still getting this error intermittently.

Does commenting as mentioned above worked in your case to resolve the issue completly? Can you please help.

I haven't seen much update on this. I have been having this issue intermittently with my deployment. But only production, not dev, qa, or sandbox. I have implemented this change in only one of my Tomcat's (the problem child) to see if it helps, but this only occurs once in a blue moon and is persistent for several days until we force a reboot and restart of the Tomcat again after the reboot.

I will post something here in a few days to see what we find.
