Post subject: How to get 'ALL' in LOV of a prompt to select ALL values

Hi Gurus,

Please guide on how to get '*ALL' option in LOV of a prompt to select ALL values in the LOV of the object at report level by editing the SQL of the report.

In BO 6.5 FC the below syntax was working but in XI R3 its not.

(Table.Column IN @variable('3. Select Column:') or '*ALL*' in @variable('3. Select Column:') )

Hi

How you passed the ALL values in the prompt..? if you used it *ALL* and selecting the value ALL will not work, change it to 'All'.

In BO 6.5 I used '*ALL* successfully, using * shows ALL on the top in the list but in BO XI R3 it doesn't work. Thats why I wanted to have a solution in XI R3.

I tried 'ALL' as well but this one also doesn't work.

Hi,
If you have ALL or *ALL* in the LOV text and write a appropriate code at the universe level, then you can make use of the wild cards * or ALL.

Have you tried to make use of the solution at the universe level.

Hi Surya and Omkar,

Sorry for the late response. Actually, I couldn't fix it at report level so I created a prompt object at universe level , same way as suggested by you. My problem got resolved so I didn't log into forum. But, I wanted to do it at report level first as in 6.5 version customised report sql was giving me that solution.

Your solution is absolutely correct. Thanks a lot.
