Hi All,

I'm getting below error when I schedule the reports thorough BCA but this error is one in a while for some of the reports. Sometimes it's report will be refreshed after 2-3 tries.

Error Code=0x80010108, Error Message = 'The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. ', WCode = 0x00000000, Description = '(null)'

Highly appreciate your prompt reply on this issue.

Regards

Hello,
try this:
To increase the Desktop heap size, make the following changes to the Windows registry on the Business Objects server:
1. In the registry editor, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\Session
Manager\SubSystems, open the Windows key.
2. Make the following changes (indicated in bold text) in the Value data field:
%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows
SharedSection=1024,3072,1024
Leave all other values at default.
3. Reboot the server.

best regards

Thanks Dear,

But I can see bold text. Can you write in separate line whatever the changes need to be done?

And is there some option to improve the performance of BCA. Our reports are taking lot of times to refresh.

Database: DB2
Business Objects 5 full Client
BCA

Thanks a lot for all the help.

sorry - i copied it out of an pdf-document, and the bold format got lost.
the third value "1024" was bold originally, but you would see it also if you take a look in the described registry folder.
this entry enlarges the heap size memory, so bca get more ram to run the reports.
you've to change it in the registry of the server machine (on which the bca server is installed).
to improve your performance you have to tune your database and/or sql, i fear...

regards

I have checked the setting it's same what you said to change.

One more thing I faced this month. Lots of reports are published with Partial Data when I scheduled the reports in BCA. Any idea, what could be the reason?

Thanks a lot for ur gr8 help

How long does the report that threw this error message take to refresh when scheduled in BCA? Check the universe for the reports and see if you have any constraints on Row retrievel and execution time.

Quick question - are you using a macro with this report? I was seeing this error a couple weeks ago, but it was tied to a macro that emailed data.

I think the issue was a simple one tho, not what I thought - I may not have been filling in a prompt that was added.

After I got this error during local testing, I could not run anything in BO until I stopped and restarted client.

Good luck,
Brent

I'm not using any Macro.

And it took on 10-15 minutes only. And in Univese side we have 60 minutes timout and in BCA it's 120 minutes timeout.
