Post subject: DI profiling table data.

There are empty strings in my source table fields. These are "". What is the best way of converting these to NULL values. The DI profiler won't pick them up as NULL values

Ironically, since DI considers empty string to be the same thing as NULL (which is not ANSI-SQL correct, to my knowledge), you could do a:

nvl(column,NULL)

and that might convert your empty-string nulls to a null.

Or just do a ifthenelse:

ifthenelse(column='',null,column)
