Post subject: [DI] Roll Back process using Data-Integrator

Hi,
I have more than 55 mappings sequenced one after the other.

Can Data-integrator provide me with the mechanism that, if my 54th mapping fails due to any reason, then all the data that was loaded using the first 53 mappings, during that particular execution should rollback?

Currently I am using the oracle script to delete all the records.

please let me know if any one is aware of this.

Thanks and Regards
Abhinav Rao

You mean 55 DataFlows, do you?
Within one DF there are at least a few options like "include in transaction" or using stage tables but accross multiple dataflows - if staging not an option - you have no way.

What I do is to load all the records with an additional column called "last_load_date" and today's value is save in an execution status table at the very end.
All my reports (universe?) have a where clause like "... last_load_date <= (select max(loaddate) from executionstatus)...". This way I do not have to delete the records, I am just not showing them. If there would be updates that cause the loaddate to be updated as well you will have an issue with that solution as well.
