BOB has retired moved! Our current platform (the one you are reading right now) is over 18 years old. Rather than continue here, the community has moved to a new software platform! We are excited about the move and hope that you'll come with us.

The new community URL is https://bobj-board.org/.

User accounts have not been converted. In order to participate on the new platform you will need to create a new account. Existing posts have been retroactively assigned to your user name, but are associated with an anonymous account. No personal information (email address and so on) has been transferred to the new platform.

If you have any questions, the "About BOB" forum will remain open for the remainder of 2020, at which point it will be replaced by a static page directing folks to the new community.

Thank you for your support and participation for the past 18 years.

Post subject: How to resize an image using BBC CODE and IMG tags?

Does anybody know how can I can shrink the image in my signature using bbc Code?

I tried
Code:
[img width=40 Height=40]http://petcaretips.net/linuspumkin.gif[/img]

But that did not work, instead of showing the image the text "http://petcaretips.net/linuspumkin.gif" is shown..

Andreas: You can't provide sizing attributes for an image with BBCode. However, since I'm such a nice guy icon_wink.gif I took the picture and resized it for you. Also loaded it on this server, since many webmasters don't like people remote linking to their images.

Your new sig can include
Code:
[img]http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/images/sigpics/great_pumpkin.gif[/img]

... which will be displayed as Image link

Enjoy!

I'm looking for some orange smilies now... icon_smile.gif ... I especially liked the new icon for the "sticky" topics.

I like the Jacl-O-Lantern in the BOB logo, but I was expecting it to say "Happy Halloween" when I hovered over it. icon_wink.gif

I like the glowing Jack O'Lanterns for the very-active topics! And the skull-and-crossbones for locked topics. lol.gif And the spider-web for stickies!

Oh, yes -- I had noticed that, too, although it's not quite as amusing as the spider-webs for stickies and skull-and-crossbones for locked topics! lol.gif

16 years later an that Linus GIF is STILL up. The Internet is usually so transitory and ephemeral that I thgouht the shrunk local image might be the only one left.

Here is a link to it. Yes it's a hotlink, but this site is going away soon so it won't matter for long.
