Post subject: BI 4.2 - Cannot Cleanup Crystal Reports cache folder

Hi, All

We are on BI 4.2 sp6. Tomcat/SIA running without issues.

In the event viewer, some warning showing as 'Cannot Cleanup Cache folder. Most likely reason is that another process is accessing files in the cache folder'.

Just restarting Tomcat/SIA will resolve this issue?. Is there any impact if continue to receive these warning even though SIA/Tomcat running without issues.

Thank you for the help!

In our system, I have added the -deletCache switch to the Command Line Parameters for the CrystalReportsCacheServer. The service does have to be restarted for this to happen though. Just restarting the CrystalReportsCacheServer with this switch might solve your problem.

If there is still a problem with another process accessing the files, I would say you probably need to shut down the SIA, manually clear the cache, then restart the SIA. This will hopefully make sure that whatever is accessing the files isn't running.
